Lewiston Festivals and Events

Lewiston Festivals and Events

Lewiston is an active, friendly community with events happening year round.  Visitors are invited not just to observe but to also be a part of celebrations or serve as volunteers.  Be sure to check individual websites for specific dates and calendars of events.

Dogwood Festival

Every spring the dogwood trees explode into fragrant pink blossoms that catch in the air and spill lightly into the streets.  Events include the Show and Shine car show, children’s art show, beer and wine tasting and auction, the Seaport River Run and a community volunteer project.

Avista NAIA World Series

With a nearly 60 year history in Lewiston, the Avista NAIA World Series pits college teams from across the country against one another at Lewis-Clark State College.  Besides great baseball there are also plenty of opportunities to be part of the action as a volunteer.

Hot August Nights

Billed as the “most awesome car show in the Lewiston, ID and Clarkson, WA area,” Hot August Nights historically includes the Show and Shine, a cruise down Main Street and an outdoor concert.  Visitors interested in showing off their rides should be sure to register beforehand via the website

Lewiston Roundup

Welcome to the Wild West! The Lewiston Roundup is a parade and rodeo held every September at Lewis-Clark State College with cooperation from the city.  Open tryouts take place for kids wanting to try mutton busting (that’s sheep riding for you city slickers.)

Winter Spirit

Sponsored by the Chamber of Commerce, the annual holiday festival boasts lighted displays in historic downtown from Thanksgiving to New Year’s.  The event is held at Locomotive Park with a retired Steam Engine 92 and a Camas Prairie RR Caboose stealing the spotlight in the center of the green.  Santa is also known to make appearances.
